 charger doesn't work with iphone 3g December 7, 2008

the charger red indicator light just flashes on and off rapidly and does not charge the 3g iphone. tried it in two different cars and 3 different outlets. sent email to pc microstore and awaiting response.

it killed my iphone. when i plugged it in, my iphone said incompatible and died. i had to get a replacement from apple.
